Music takes center stage again in Nazaré with the "October, Month of Music" initiative, promoted by the Municipality of Nazaré. Over several weeks, the event features a diverse program, aimed at different audiences and with offerings in various venues across the municipality.
From October 5th to November 1st, the program covers various genres and formats, including symphonic music, musical shows, piano recitals, popular music, and cinema.
The program kicks off on October 5th at the Cine-Teatro da Nazaré with the musical show "Assim Devera Eu Ser", dedicated to the childhood of Amália Rodrigues. On October 8th, the Auditório da Biblioteca Municipal José Soares hosts the concert "Entre o Mar e a Terra", with free admission.
On October 16th, the PSP Symphony Band, conducted by Commissioner Pedro Ferreira, performs at the Cine-Teatro da Nazaré, in a concert with free admission subject to prior booking. Two days later, on October 20th, the Ensemble Sunrise, from the Academia de Música de Alcobaça - Cistermúsica, performs at the Sala da Biblioteca de Instrução e Recreio in Valado dos Frades.
The program continues on October 22nd with "The Beatles for Trio" at the Auditório da Biblioteca Municipal José Soares. On October 24th, the Cine-Teatro da Nazaré hosts the Big Band do Município da Nazaré, featuring Patrícia Radamanto. This concert requires a free donation or the delivery of animal food for GRUVA.
The month concludes its October programming with the Recital of Young Pianists, featuring Simone Eveline and Joseeppi Pyykkö, on October 29th, at the Cine-Teatro da Nazaré.
The connection between music and cinema will also be present, with three screenings at the Cine-Teatro da Nazaré. On October 3rd, 10th, and 17th, the films "Playback", "Song Sung Blue", and "Oasis – Don't Look Back in Anger" will be shown, respectively, in two daily sessions.
The initiative extends until November 1st, when the Cine-Teatro da Nazaré hosts "O Principezinho – O Musical" at 4:00 PM, closing this edition of "Outubro, Mês da Música".
Over almost a month, the initiative offers an encounter between music, cinema, and performing arts, contributing to a diverse cultural program and the revitalization of Nazaré's cultural spaces.
