The new podcast from the University of Lisbon, 'À Vontade com a Mente', aims to foster accessible and informed conversations about mental health, self-care, physical activity, and healthy lifestyles, contributing to the well-being of the academic community. Hosted by Joana Sousa, the program features various guests to explore everyday topics such as emotions, interpersonal relationships, self-esteem, sleep, and the balance between personal, academic, and professional life.
With a relaxed and inclusive approach, each episode shares knowledge, experiences, and strategies to better understand the relationship between psychological health and well-being. The project includes three segments: 'À Vontade com a Mente' (mental health and psychological well-being), 'Flow UL – Bem-Estar' (balance and healthy habits), and 'Sprint UL – Desporto' (physical activity and quality of life).
The first episode, 'Amor na Era do Swipe: Dating apps, expectativas e relações modernas', featuring guest Daniel Sampaio, premiered today, October 20th. In the following weeks, two episodes will be released weekly on Tuesdays, continuing the discussions on mental health, well-being, and quality of life. The first season will comprise 12 episodes.
The podcast aims to foster a culture of greater openness around mental health, valuing the sharing of experiences and the dissemination of information. It was developed as part of ULisboa's Mental Health and Well-being Promotion Program, funded by the Direção-Geral do Ensino Superior (DGES).
