Transportes Metropolitanos de Lisboa (TML) has launched the Navegante® Planner, a new feature of the Navegante® App that allows users to plan journeys in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area, using real-time mobility information.

Developed and managed by TML, the new planner allows users to search for routes from origin to destination, using integrated information from different transport operators. The launch, attended by national entities involved in mobility, represents a new stage in the digital evolution of the Navegante® system, following the introduction of real-time circulation monitoring in June.
The Navegante® Planner stands out as a proprietary solution from TML, built upon integrated transport system data and tailored to the needs of the Lisbon Metropolitan Area, without relying on external planning platforms. The tool aims to complement existing planners, actively integrating and providing data to passengers.
Carlos Humberto de Carvalho, President of TML, highlighted that the launch is a significant step in TML's capacity to integrate information from various operators and transform it into a concrete tool for people, making the metropolitan system simpler to understand and use.
With this feature, passengers indicate their starting point and destination to consult available route options, considering actual traffic conditions. This approach allows for viewing the journey as a whole, facilitating the exploration of alternatives for trips involving different operators and services.
The development of the Navegante® Planner aligns with TML's mission to manage the Navegante® ticketing system and promote mobility integration in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area. The goal is to simplify daily decisions, such as reaching a destination, understanding route alternatives, and better organizing travel time.
