The “See the World Better” project has kicked off the academic year by conducting vision screenings for 141 children in public schools in Lisbon, targeting young people aged 6 to 18.

The initiative, promoted by Gebalis in partnership with the Social Services of the Lisbon Municipal Council and the António e Cecília Câmara Fund for the Development of Optics and Optometry, has already yielded its initial results. The aim is to detect vision difficulties promptly and ensure necessary referrals.
Over the coming months, the program will continue its visits to various schools across the capital. The focus is on children and young people aged between 6 and 18 years old, ensuring that potential vision problems are identified as early as possible.
