The official presentation of the Unicorn Factory Lisbon Metropolitan Area Network will take place on November 2nd, between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM, at the Unicorn Stage, in the Beato Innovation District, Lisbon. This event marks a new step in affirming the region as a territory of innovation, entrepreneurship, and international competitiveness.
Resulting from a strategic partnership between the Lisbon Metropolitan Area (AML) and Unicorn Factory Lisboa, the initiative aims to extend the innovation and entrepreneurship dynamic throughout the metropolitan territory. To this end, it will promote articulation among the 18 municipalities, companies, startups, higher education institutions, research centers, investors, and other ecosystem actors.
More than a network of spaces or initiatives, the Unicorn Factory Lisbon Metropolitan Area Network aspires to be a platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and opportunity creation. The goal is to bring resources and skills closer, stimulate the development of innovative projects, and enhance the capacity to attract and retain talent and investment.
Inspired by European models of collaborative innovation, the network adopts an integrated territorial vision, considering the diversity and complementarity of the municipalities as a competitive advantage. It aims to create conditions for innovation to transcend administrative borders, reach different communities, and contribute to more cohesive, sustainable, and competitive metropolitan development.
The launch session will include the signing of cooperation agreements with the municipalities, symbolizing an institutional commitment and the beginning of a new phase of collaboration for building a metropolitan innovation ecosystem with international ambition and projection.
