The Minister of Justice presented a positive assessment of the past two and a half years of governance to the Assembly of the Republic, announcing a €169.5 million reinforcement for service modernization in 2027.

The Minister of Justice, speaking at a hearing of the Budget, Finance, and Public Administration Committee of the Assembly of the Republic, highlighted the progress made in recovering and modernizing Justice services. She recalled the inherited problems, such as a lack of professionals, degraded facilities, and obsolete equipment, and presented a broader overview of achievements over two and a half years of governance.
The consolidated budget for the Justice sector amounts to two billion, one hundred and twenty-eight million euros (€2.128 billion), representing a 5.1% increase compared to 2026. Excluding the effect of the PRR, the growth is 8.7%, translating into an additional one hundred and sixty-nine million euros (€169.5 million).
For 2027, the goal is to go beyond fixing what doesn't work, consolidating recovery and accelerating modernization. The Minister reaffirmed the commitment to Justice professionals and a significant increase in investment in buildings, equipment, and technology, considered two inseparable priorities.
