The Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa (ISEL) held a CSWA (Certified SolidWorks Associate) certification session for Mechanical Engineering students, where 40 students earned the international certificate.

On October 1st, ISEL hosted another CSWA (Certified SolidWorks Associate) certification session, aimed at students of the Degree in Mechanical Engineering. The initiative was supervised by lecturers Ricardo Fontes Portal and João Milho.
A total of 52 students attended the exam, with 40 achieving certification by scoring at least 70% (165 out of 240 points). This translates to a success rate of 76.9%, with 17.3% of certified students reaching the maximum score of 240 points.
The CSWA certification is a global recognition of proficiency in using SOLIDWORKS software, covering 3D modeling, design, and sustainable design. This credential is seen as a significant advantage for students in the job market.
The opportunity to obtain this certification was made available free of charge to students enrolled in the Computer-Aided Design (DAC) and Mechanical Construction Design (DCM) courses, provided they met specific grading requirements.
The complimentary offer was made possible through a partnership with Ibernova (Sqédio), the representative for the SolidWorks program, and with the support of vouchers provided by Certification Provider and lecturer Ricardo F. Portal.
Since 2017, 315 Mechanical Engineering students from ISEL have obtained the CSWA certificate, indicating a sustained growth in participation for this certification and others within the SOLIDWORKS ecosystem.
