The plenary session included 60 selected deputies who, over the coming months, will debate strategic healthcare topics and present proposals to national decision-makers. Among the participants was Luís Goes Pinheiro, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SPMS, who spoke as a member of the Advisory Board of the Health Parliament Portugal, focusing on the digital transformation of Health. João Oliveira, Director of the National Center for Telehealth / SNS 24, and Jéssica Domingues, Coordinator of the Cybersecurity Unit at SPMS, also participated as deputies.
The event also featured interventions from Francisco Pinheiro Catalão, Secretary of State for Health Management, and Paulo Pereira, Rector of NOVA University of Lisbon. The deputies, organized into thematic committees, presented the priority areas they intend to address in the coming months, including access to healthcare, artificial intelligence and data, innovation, oncology, prevention and diagnosis, and mental health.
The Health Parliament Portugal is consolidating itself as a platform for dialogue and proposal building for the healthcare sector, fostering collaboration among professionals, institutions, academia, and public and private entities.
