The scholarship, valued at €2,000 per academic year, may be renewed until the completion of a master's degree, according to the conditions set out in the regulations. Additionally, it includes a one-time support of €2,000 for an international mobility period, such as the Erasmus program.
To be eligible, candidates must have a higher education application score equal to or greater than 170 points, through the general access and admission competition for the 2026/27 academic year, in the course they are enrolled in.
Proof of application for a social action scholarship from the General Directorate for Higher Education (DGES) is also required. This application is an essential condition for the Gulbenkian Merit Scholarship, regardless of the household income, as it allows for income verification.
Scholarships will be awarded to selected candidates whose per capita annual income, verified by the respective institution's Social Services, does not exceed €14,000.
