The Técnico Innovation Center in Lisbon will host the Deep Téc4Ocean on October 19th, an event promoted by the General Directorate for Maritime Policy (DGPM) aiming to discuss the ocean's future.

The Deep Téc4Ocean, an initiative by the General Directorate for Maritime Policy (DGPM) in partnership with the Student Association of the Superior Technical Institute (AEIST) and the Superior Technical Institute (IST), will take place on October 19th at the Técnico Innovation Center in Lisbon. The event is under the High Patronage of His Excellency the President of the Republic.
Dedicated to the Ocean, the Blue Economy, and blue professions, the gathering will bring together students, researchers, companies, and public entities. The goal is to debate major challenges and explore the opportunities that science, technology, and innovation offer for the maritime future.
Five thematic areas will be covered: Digital Ocean, Blue Power & Deep Tech, Blue MedTech, Blue Food & Sustainable Aquaculture, Chameleonic Infrastructures, and Maritime Defence and Security. These areas converge on a common objective: to drive innovation and enhance the strategic potential of the Ocean.
Aligned with the objectives of the National Strategy for the Sea 2021-2030, the event aims to bring new generations closer to science and technology, stimulate applied research, and strengthen connections between academia, businesses, and public entities.
The Deep Téc4Ocean will run from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM at the Técnico Innovation Center.
