Applications for the University of Lisbon Award (ULisboa) are open until October 30, 2026. The award, with a monetary value of 25,000 euros, aims to distinguish and reward an individual, of Portuguese or foreign nationality, who has contributed notably to the progress and enhancement of Science and/or Culture.
The evaluation of applications considers the quality of publications, the rigor and originality of the work, awards and distinctions received, positions held, and contributions to Portugal's international projection.
Applications must be submitted by proposers (not the candidate) and include the completed application form, a written proposal of justification, and the candidate's concise curriculum vitae. Further information and the application form are available on the ULisboa website.
Established in 2014 with the support of Caixa Geral de Depósitos, the ULisboa Award is presented annually by deliberation of a jury chaired by the Rector of the University of Lisbon.
