The Azambuja Municipal Executive met in ordinary session on October 13, 2026, to deliberate on various matters. The proposal for the non-award of the construction of the new GNR post in Aveiras de Cima was approved, following the exclusion of bids for non-compliance with Public Procurement Code requirements. The estimated value for the project was 2,033,178.58 euros, plus VAT.
Regarding public space requalification, the project “E15 - Ligação Pedonal Alcoentre a Casais das Boiças” was awarded to Construções Pragosa, S.A., for 1,049,517.70 euros, plus VAT. The work has an estimated execution period of 365 days.
The initiation of the Plano Pormenor Azambuja Nascente (Azambuja East Detailed Plan) was also approved, with an 18-month timeframe, including the approval of Terms of Reference and the opening of a 15-working-day public participation period.
The addendum to the school meal service contract with GERTAL- Companhia Geral de Restaurantes e Alimentação, S.A., was approved, introducing adjustments to clauses regarding contract execution guarantees and financial provisions for 2026-2029. The process will be submitted to the Court of Auditors.
The dispatch for the procurement of sterilization services for stray animals (dogs and cats) was ratified, through the Electronic Purchasing Centre of the Intermunicipal Community of Lezíria do Tejo (CIMLT), to address a municipal need.
In support of social institutions, an allocation of 411.53 euros was approved for the Centro Social e Paroquial de Aveiras de Cima to purchase three bath and sanitary chairs for the Lar Nossa Senhora da Purificação.
The Municipal Council authorized the professional integration of two students from CERCI Flor da Vida through internships in gardening and plumbing/maintenance, promoting inclusion and vocational training.
A proposal to amend the regulation for the allocation of municipal public transport vehicles was rejected.
