The Felgueiras Municipal Library has launched 'Entre Laçadas', a knitting and crochet workshop for individuals over 16, held on Saturday afternoons.

The Felgueiras Municipal Library recently hosted the first of two monthly sessions for the “O Entre Laçadas – oficina de Malha e Crochet” workshop. This activity, held bi-weekly on Saturday afternoons, is aimed at young people and adults aged 16 and over, providing a space for learning, sharing, and socializing.
The workshop's objective is to offer a welcoming environment where participants of varying experience levels can learn or improve knitting and crochet techniques, simultaneously developing creativity, fine motor skills, concentration, and collaborative spirit.
The sessions are led by Cristina Almeida, a native of Felgueiras, who holds a degree in Basic Education Teaching, a Trainer Qualification Course, and courses in contemporary modeling and craft activities.
The library reinforces its role as a space for intergenerational encounters and knowledge transfer, promoting sustainable handicraft practices and valuing the cultural heritage associated with textile work.
The next session is scheduled for October 24, 2026, between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM. The maximum number of participants is 15, and prior registration is required via email at biblioteca@cm-felgueiras.pt. The event is organized by the Municipality of Felgueiras.
