The activities take place between October 12-16 and October 19-23, involving students from the Marinha Grande Nascente, Marinha Grande Poente, and Vieira de Leiria School Groupings. Promoted by the Municipality, through the Education Division and in collaboration with the School Groupings, the sessions aim to encourage healthier and more conscious eating habits, responsible resource use, and the reduction of food waste.
The initiative is part of the district program by EAPN Portugal – Leiria District Nucleus, running from October 12-24, within the framework of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty (October 17). The Municipality of Marinha Grande is participating to raise community awareness about poverty and social exclusion, promote healthier and sustainable behaviors, and reinforce the importance of solidarity and collective participation.
