The Reminder project, focused on the emotional well-being of young people aged 13 to 18 in the municipality of Leiria, has marked six months of activity with 119 consultations conducted.

The Reminder project, aimed at young people aged 13 to 18, marks six months of activity with a total of 39 registrations, 21 young people being accompanied, and 119 consultations carried out in the municipality of Leiria. The initiative's primary objective is to promote the emotional well-being of this age group through a proximity-based response.
Among the participants, 47.06% are between 13 and 14 years old, while 41.18% are between 15 and 18 years old. Anxiety is the most represented issue, accounting for 38.2% of cases. This is followed by depressive mood and personal development, both at 11.8%, and emotional management, at 8.8%.
Ana Valentim, Councillor for Health, emphasized the importance of "being close to young people, listening to them, and responding to their needs" to promote their emotional well-being. The councillor highlighted that the results from the first six months demonstrate the significance of maintaining accessible responses tailored to the challenges of this age group.
Social media is the main channel for the project's outreach, with 44.1% of young people learning about it through these platforms. School and recommendations from friends or family follow, both at 14.7%.
The Reminder project's support covers various parishes within the municipality of Leiria, with a greater presence in the Union of Parishes of Leiria, Pousos, Barreira, and Cortes, followed by the parishes of Marrazes and Barosa.
