Held this past weekend, the event provided exceptional conditions for bodyboarding, allowing athletes to showcase their skills and determination. Nazaré once again affirmed its status as a prime location for water sports.
The Clube de Desportos Alternativos da Nazaré (CDAN) achieved an excellent performance, with Ian Santos winning the Under 12 category. The competition saw participation from athletes representing various clubs, including CNPov, SCS, Aqua Carca, AON, ABFM, and NBZM.
The final results by category were: Under 12 (1st Ian Santos, 2nd Inês Areias, 3rd Manuel Elias, 4th Pedro Cabral); Under 14 Female (1st Mar Areosa, 2nd Sofia Pinheiro, 3rd Emi Strover, 4th Ana Araújo); Under 18 Female (1st Luana Dourado, 2nd Carolina Dias, 3rd Nikita D. Badilla, 4th Alice Teotónio); Under 14 (1st João Gonçalves, 2nd Afonso Alves, 3rd Vicente Marques, 4th João Silva); Under 16 (1st Gabriel Oliveira, 2nd Vicente Campos, 3rd Rodrigo Meireles, 4th Salvador Rolo); and Under 18 (1st Matias Baço, 2nd Vicente Campos, 3rd Frederico C. Branco, 4th Daniel Gonçalves).
Hosting this stage reinforces Nazaré's significance as a leading venue for wave sports and a crucial territory for nurturing new generations of athletes. The Municipality of Nazaré congratulated all participants for their competitive spirit.
The event was organized by the Portuguese Surfing Federation, in partnership with CDAN, and supported by the Municipality of Nazaré and several partner entities and brands.
