The Municipality of Leiria, through the Autarchic Consumer Information Centre (CIAC), held an awareness event on Friday, October 9, at AMITEI, focusing on the rights of elderly consumers and the prevention of risks associated with consumer relations.
As part of the commemorations for the International Day of Older Persons, observed on October 1, the initiative's main objective was to reinforce knowledge of consumer rights, sensitizing participants to the importance of adopting informed and safe behaviors in their daily choices.
The session also aimed to contribute to the prevention and resolution of consumer conflicts, promoting greater empowerment of the senior population to identify risk situations and exercise their rights.
