On October 2nd, the Municipality of Celorico da Beira, through its Social Network, organized an excursion for users of the Private Institutions of Social Solidarity (IPSS) in the municipality, commemorating the International Day of the Elderly, celebrated on October 1st.
Participants were taken to the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora da Lapa in Sernancelhe, where they attended a mass and a guided tour, learning about the history and heritage of the site.
Lunch took place at the Vila da Ponte River Beach, fostering social interaction among the participants.
In the afternoon, the group visited the Historic Center of Sernancelhe and the Chestnut and Chestnut Tree Space, on a journey that combined culture, heritage, leisure, and social gathering.
