The campaign, which marked the beginning of a new Hydrological Year, visited the parishes of Quarteira, Almancil, São Clemente, Boliqueime, and São Sebastião. The main objective was to alert citizens to the risks arising from adverse meteorological phenomena, encouraging the adoption of preventive measures and self-protection behaviors.
During these actions, technicians from the Municipal Civil Protection Service and members of the Loulé Municipal Firefighters shared practical advice on the importance of keeping drainage systems clean, exercising extra caution when driving, and avoiding flooded areas.
Direct contact with the public allowed for clarifying questions and strengthening the link between citizens and civil protection agents, promoting a more conscious and responsible attitude towards the dangers associated with the typical weather conditions of this time of year.
The joint work between the Municipal Civil Protection Service and the Loulé Municipal Firefighters highlights the importance of cooperation in civil protection, not only in preventing risks but also in preparing populations for more adequate and safe responses in emergency scenarios.
Through this initiative, the Municipality of Loulé reaffirms its commitment to protecting people and property, consolidating a culture of safety and prevention and strengthening the resilience of communities against natural phenomena.
