Promoted by the Municipality of Faro, through the Nautical Center of Praia de Faro, the event featured a program including five sports, complemented by the Mega SUP and Áqua Bike challenges. The initiative involved participants of various ages and experiences, including individuals involved in adapted sports or with specific needs, reinforcing its inclusive nature.
Throughout the day, Faro Aventura offered moments of healthy competition, experimentation with different sports, mutual support, and sharing, contributing to the promotion of active lifestyles and the appreciation of the Ria Formosa as a prime location for sports practice and nature engagement.
The university community also participated, with teams and volunteer students from the Sports department of the University of the Algarve supporting the activities. The event also saw the participation of the Rector of the University of the Algarve and other members of the rectoral team, who joined the sporting day, notably by experiencing the water bike (Áqua Bike).
The organization of this edition was supported by the Freguesia Board of Montenegro, the University of the Algarve, OPTIMAX, Gliss Sensations, ACUA, and the Restaurante Elementos, as well as the contributions of volunteers, participants, professionals, and other collaborators involved in the organization.
The Municipality of Faro extends its gratitude to all partners and collaborators for their involvement, which was essential for the realization of another edition of Faro Aventura and for the continuation of an initiative that combines sport, inclusion, and the valorization of the municipality's natural heritage.
