The Community Care Unit (UCC) of Évora, part of the Central Alentejo Local Health Unit (ULSAC), was represented at the III International HuPedCare Training, held on October 14, 2026, at the Palácio D. Manuel, in Évora.

The initiative was part of the international project HuPedCare, funded by the European Union and developed in partnership with the University of Évora, which promotes the humanization of child healthcare through cooperation between higher education institutions, health services, and professionals from various fields.
The meeting served as a space for reflection and sharing of scientific knowledge on the assessment, prevention, and treatment of neonatal and pediatric pain, also discussing strategies to strengthen family involvement and coordination between the child's different life contexts.
The participation of UCC Évora reinforces the strategic role of School Health as a link between health, education, family, and community, contributing to integrated responses focused on the needs of children and adolescents.
Continuous professional training and partnership building are relevant for promoting safer and more humanized environments, with care integration through knowledge sharing and institutional cooperation.

"The presence of UCC Évora in this initiative reflects the priority that ULSAC places on valuing knowledge, developing partnerships, and building proximity responses that promote health, well-being, and equal opportunities for all children and adolescents. Because humanizing care also means ensuring that no child is left behind."
