The Municipality of Borba is organizing the "Chestnuts and Wine" Gastronomic Festival from November 1st to 16th, 2026, promoting traditional gastronomy and local products.

The Municipality of Borba is promoting the "Chestnuts and Wine" Gastronomic Festival, a culinary competition taking place from November 1st to 16th, 2026, at participating restaurants in the municipality. The event coincides with the Traditional "Feira dos Santos" (All Saints' Fair) and the emblematic "Festa da Vinha e do Vinho" (Vine and Wine Festival), which celebrates its 35th anniversary this year.
The festival aims to promote and enhance local and regional traditional gastronomy, position it as a tourist product and cultural heritage, encourage the use and consumption of local products, and boost the restaurant business sector. Registration for restaurants in the municipality is currently underway.
The "Chestnuts and Wine" Gastronomic Festival will also feature a raffle with five prizes awarded by the Municipal Chamber of Borba. Visitors are invited to come to Borba and savor the flavors of autumn, with chestnuts and wine, at our local restaurants.
Information on participating restaurants will be made available soon.
