The Portuguese League Against Cancer (LPCC) is holding its National Street Collection from October 29 to November 1, 2026. The initiative aims to raise funds to continue the essential work that the LPCC has been doing for over eight decades in cancer prevention and support for cancer patients and their families.
LPCC's support covers social, psychological, economic, and legal aspects, as well as facilitating access to treatments. In 2025, the organization supported 25,199 patients, provided over 21,000 free consultations in Psycho-Oncology, and invested more than 2.2 million euros in support for individuals with oncological disease in situations of greater vulnerability.
The Junta de Freguesia de Soure is joining this solidarity campaign and invites the entire community to participate, either through monetary contributions or by volunteering.
