The Pampilhosa da Serra Municipal Council has bolstered rural fire prevention and fighting resources with the installation of a new water reservoir in Soeirinho.

Standing 3 meters high with a capacity of 410,000 liters, the new equipment aims to enhance support for rural fire fighting and improve the supply capacity for ground teams, including aerial combat resources.
The reservoir was provided by the Institute for Nature Conservation and Forests (ICNF) and is installed on land ceded by the Agrupamento de Baldios de Soeirinho / Fajão. This infrastructure represents a significant contribution to fire prevention and fighting within the municipality.
The installation is part of a project funded by the Secretariat of State for Forests, through the ICNF, which plans to install 19 reservoirs in the Central Region, reinforcing available resources and operational response capacity in the territory.
