The Municipality of Góis, through the António Francisco Barata Municipal Library of Góis, promoted, on October 26th, 27th, and 28th, three sessions dedicated to the children's work "A Sopa Verde", by author Chico. The activities integrated the municipal projects "Era uma vez… a Leitura e a Escrita do Mundo da Fantasia" and "Todos Diferentes, Todos Iguais", reinforcing the municipality's commitment to training new readers and social cohesion.
The initiative brought together children from the Rocha Barros Social Center Kindergarten and users from the ARCIL Inclusion Activities and Training Center (CACI/CAO) – Góis Hub. Over the three days, the participating groups embarked on the pedagogical adventure of a piglet reluctant to eat soup, a dynamic narrative full of twists that served as a theme to address eating habits in a pedagogical and relaxed manner.
In addition to the staged reading of the story, the event included a creative workshop where imagination took center stage. Through artistic activities and the exploration of colors, vegetables, and everyday foods, the space transformed into a meeting point between generations and different audiences, marked by sharing and inclusive learning.
With the realization of this "Story Time" and its respective workshop, the Municipality of Góis reaffirms its commitment to stimulating early contact with books, cultivating a taste for literature, and promoting truly inclusive and integrating environments in the communities of the county.
