The President of the Republic, António José Seguro, presided over the inauguration ceremony of the new facilities of the Nossa Senhora da Conceição daycare center in Penamacor. The ceremony was followed by a visit to the facilities.
This social response is promoted by the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Penamacor, in a joint effort with the Penamacor Municipal Council. The newly inaugurated facilities have doubled the daycare's capacity, from 25 to 50 children.
The event was seen as a sign that the interior regions are also places of opportunity and future.
