The 5G.CONNECT initiative, held today in Carrazeda de Ansiães, seeks to boost 5G connectivity and implement digital solutions tailored to the challenges of low-density population territories. The event showcased the project's main objectives, planned 5G infrastructure, and various use cases in areas such as climate action, civil protection, heritage, and social action, highlighting the technology's potential.
Led by dstelecom, the 5G.CONNECT consortium includes partners such as NOS, Innovation Point, and IrRADIARE. CIM Douro, a project partner, participated alongside the CIMs of Alto Tâmega e Barroso, Tâmega e Sousa, and Terras de Trás-os-Montes, among other entities.
