The Municipal Chamber of Vizela and the Braga Territorial Command of the GNR are signing, on October 22nd, a cooperation protocol for the e-Guard project, a teleassistance and monitoring system for the elderly and vulnerable individuals in the municipality.

The protocol will be signed at 4:00 PM in the Municipal Auditorium Francisco Ferreira. The e-Guard project aims to provide an innovative, personalized, and continuous (24/7) response to the elderly and individuals facing isolation, loneliness, dependency, or incapacity.
Through electronic teleassistance devices monitored by the Situation Room of the Braga Territorial Command of the GNR in coordination with the Municipal Social Action services, the initiative seeks to combat social isolation, ensure immediate support in emergencies, and promote autonomy at home, aiming to prevent or delay institutionalization.
With this partnership, the Municipal Chamber of Vizela will be responsible for acquiring and maintaining the technological infrastructure and individual devices for users. This strengthens the social protection network and the preventive security for the most vulnerable citizens in the municipality.
