The Municipality of Vieira do Minho will invest €26,574 in upgrading the roofs of the Aníbal Nascimento Pavilion and the Municipal Pool, aiming to resolve infiltration issues and extend the lifespan of these sports facilities.

The works, which began on October 29 and have an execution period of 30 days, are intended to reinforce the waterproofing of the buildings and prevent their deterioration, ensuring better conditions of use for the public.
At the Aníbal Nascimento Pavilion, the work focuses on the west side of the roof, involving the replacement of the existing waterproofing membrane with a new synthetic membrane reinforced with polyester fiber. This measure will correct infiltrations affecting the adjacent facade.
At the Municipal Pool, a localized repair of the roof's waterproofing system will be carried out using a synthetic membrane to restore watertightness and prevent further leaks, protecting the structure and surrounding elements.
The contract, awarded to the company Castec Isolamentos Unip., Lda., also includes surface preparation, application and welding of membranes, and complementary finishing and repairs to ensure the effectiveness and durability of the adopted solutions.
