The Terras de Bouro Municipal Council has given the green light to the final proposal for the 2nd Revision of the Municipal Master Plan (PDM), which will now be reviewed by the Municipal Assembly.

The unanimous decision was made during the ordinary public meeting on October 14th, where the Public Discussion Ponderation Report was also approved. This report reflects the analysis of 176 valid submissions received during the 60-day public consultation period, from October 6th to December 4th, 2025.
Approximately 37% of the valid submissions were concentrated in the freguesia of Vilar da Veiga. Following consultation with supervisory bodies, 68% of submissions were accepted, 23% partially accepted, 6% rejected, and 3% deemed outside the scope of the PDM.
The introduced changes include an increase of about 47 hectares of urban land, with requests to include plots in urban areas and rural settlements. Additionally, 23.23 hectares of the National Agricultural Reserve and 18.85 hectares of the National Ecological Reserve were excluded, both with favorable opinions from the respective entities.
The final version of the PDM also incorporates the update of the Municipal Archaeological Map, the inclusion of channel spaces, and the correction of errors and omissions. The report will be published on the Municipality's website and the Collaborative Territorial Management Platform, with participants being notified of the response to their submissions.
After review by the Municipal Assembly, the Plan will be submitted for Resolution by the Council of Ministers to align provisions with the Management Plan for the Albufeira da Caniçada and the Management Plan for the Peneda-Gerês National Park, before its publication in the Diário da República.
