Last week, the Municipal Auditorium of Esposende hosted the III Nursing Conference on Maternal and Obstetric Health, organized by the Local Health Unit of Barcelos/Esposende (ULSBE). The event gathered health professionals to discuss topics related to women's health, pregnancy, childbirth, and care for women and families.
The opening session was attended by several personalities, including the Councillor for Health of the Municipal Chamber of Esposende, Fátima Escrivães, the Councillor for Health of the Municipal Chamber of Barcelos, Filipe Pinheiro, the President of the Regional Jurisdictional Council of the North of the Order of Nurses, Fernando Macedo, the President of the Board of the Specialty College of Maternal and Obstetric Health Nursing of the Order of Nurses, Alexandrina Cardoso, the Clinical Director of Primary Healthcare of ULSBE, José Moreira, and the President of the Organizing Committee, Alice Araújo.
The importance of Maternal and Obstetric Health Nursing in providing close and humanized support to women and families throughout different life stages, promoting health and well-being, was highlighted.
The conference program was divided into three thematic panels: “Current and Integrated Approach to Fertility”, “Induction in Debate: From Pregnancy to Breastfeeding”, and “Model of Care Centered on Women/Family: Evidence, Innovation, and Future”.
