The Manuel de Boaventura Municipal Library, in Esposende, is running the SuperArte Project, an initiative aimed at promoting artistic expression, participation, and inclusion for the elderly, people with disabilities, or those in vulnerable situations.

Promoted by the Intermunicipal Community of Cávado (CIM Cávado), in partnership with the Network of Public Reading Libraries of Cávado (RIBCA), the project is part of Cávado + Inclusivo, co-financed by NORTE 2030 | FSE+, under the Intermunicipal Action Plans for Active Inclusion of Vulnerable Populations (PAIIA).
The workshops, led by visual artist Adriana Henriques, use the city as a starting point for creativity and sharing experiences. Each participant will be invited to create and paint a tile, which will be part of a collective artistic installation, representing the diversity of experiences and perspectives.
The first session took place at the Palmeira de Faro Cultural and Social Intervention Center, under the theme «Drawing our portrait». Workshops are also planned at the Apúlia Social Cultural and Recreational Association, the Belinho Youth Social Center, APPACDM – Esposende Complex, and the Marinhas United Youth Social Center.
Through this initiative, the Municipal Library reinforces its role in promoting access to culture and creating opportunities for artistic participation for diverse audiences.
