The interventions on the three courts included the renovation of the surfaces, painting work, and the modernization of the lighting systems, providing better conditions for safety, comfort, and visibility for playing tennis, both recreationally and competitively. The lighting upgrade also contributes to greater energy efficiency of the facilities.
The councilor for Sports of the Barcelos Municipal Chamber, José Paulo Matias, visited the facilities and highlighted the importance of enhancing municipal sports infrastructure, reinforcing the Municipality's commitment to upgrading existing facilities and promoting physical activity.
The intervention also included the creation of a mural dedicated to sports in Barcelos, by the Barcelos urban artist Soldier, developed as part of the IN THE BOX program from the Casa da Juventude. The artistic work enhances the surrounding space and establishes a connection between sport, urban art, and youth creativity.
The renovation of these courts is part of the Municipality of Barcelos' commitment to improving and modernizing sports infrastructure, aiming to provide more suitable conditions for physical activity and contribute to the development of sports in the municipality.
