The village of Sabóia, in the municipality of Odemira, will once again host the Medronho Festival – Autumn Edition on October 30th and 31st, celebrating one of the region's most emblematic products.

At the Espaço Moagem, producers, distillers, and visitors will gather to celebrate medronho and the traditional knowledge associated with its production. The festival promises a combination of activities including tastings, workshops, exhibitions, walks among medronho trees, and talks about the sector, as well as children's entertainment and live music.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to discover and purchase regional products at the Mercadinho do Medronho (Medronho Market). This market will be open on Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
A highlight of the event will be the inauguration of the Community Distillery and the Medronho Interpretive Centre. These new spaces aim to promote the culture and production process of medronho, reinforcing its role in the local identity and economy.
With free admission, the festival invites visitors to discover the flavors, stories, and landscapes connected to medronho, promoting local producers, endogenous resources, and the preservation of the region's natural and cultural heritage.
The Sabóia Medronho Festival is promoted by Arbutus – Association for the Promotion of Medronho, with the support of the Municipality of Odemira and the Parish Council of Sabóia.
