The provision of these 50 PPE items to the Moura Volunteer Firefighters represents a significant enhancement in the operational safety conditions. This initiative is part of a total investment of €126,989.56, intended to bolster the capabilities of the municipality's civil protection agents, with co-financing from the Alentejo 2030 program.
The overall project cost also covered the acquisition of a light firefighting vehicle, which complements the equipment already available to the Municipal Civil Protection Service of Moura, such as an operational command post vehicle and a drone. These resources aim to improve performance and support in protection and rescue operations.
The total eligible investment approved for this operation amounts to €275,494.00, with an approved fund of €234,169.90 from the ERDF, under the Alentejo 2030 program. The objective is to adapt the municipality to climate change, prevent catastrophe risks, and increase territorial resilience.
Through this allocation, the Municipality of Moura reaffirms its commitment to strengthening the resources available for municipal civil protection and the Volunteer Firefighters, thereby improving the capacity for prevention, preparedness, and response to risk and emergency situations within the municipality.
