The INIAV, the Polytechnic University of Beja, and ANPOC have announced the availability of the List of Recommended Varieties (LVR) for durum wheat, for the 2026/2027 agricultural campaign.

The LVR is a joint initiative of the production, research, and industry chain, aiming to identify cereal varieties best suited to the main cereal-producing areas in Portugal and that best serve the interests of all stakeholders. These recommendations lead to the production of homogeneous and larger batches, of high quality and perfectly adapted to the processing needs of the industry.
The complete list can be accessed here: Durum wheat LVR.
The official release of the durum wheat LVR was scheduled for the days following this notice.
