The Directorate-General for Maritime Policy (DGPM) is launching the Blue Growth Programme in Ílhavo on November 12th, with funding from the EEA Grants 2021–2028, to boost the blue economy.

The city of Ílhavo will host, on November 12th, the official launch event for the Blue Growth Programme. This initiative, funded by the EEA Grants 2021–2028, marks the start of a new cycle of international funding and cooperation focused on the sustainability and competitiveness of the national blue economy.
The session, promoted by the Directorate-General for Maritime Policy (DGPM) at the Maritime Museum of Ílhavo, will present the programme's priorities and support lines, as well as the mechanisms for accessing funding. The meeting aims to energize the maritime ecosystem by fostering dialogue and networking between Portuguese organizations and those from the donor countries — Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein.
The main objective is to transform scientific and technological knowledge production into practical innovation, strengthening the transition towards a greener, more competitive, and inclusive blue economy, opening new investment and strategic partnership opportunities.
