The Parish Council of Ribeirinha expressed its satisfaction with the announcement of support from the Azores Regional Government for the creation of the future Ribeirinha Day Center. The project represents an investment of approximately 1.8 million euros.
On October 7th, the public tender for the execution of the work was launched. The plan involves adapting a building from the former Ribeirense Dairy Cooperative to house this new social service. The facility will have a capacity for 25 users, with an estimated execution period of 540 days.
The realization of this project is seen as a significant step towards strengthening social services in Ribeirinha, aiming to create better conditions for support, monitoring, and social interaction for the elderly population. The future Day Center intends to improve the quality of life for the seniors in the parish, promoting more dignified, active, and community-integrated aging.
The Parish Council reaffirms its commitment to working in collaboration with the Ribeirinha Social and Parish Center to ensure this project is realized and meets the population's needs.
The Parish Council of Ribeirinha thanks the Azores Regional Government for the granted support, recognizing the importance of this investment for the well-being of the elderly population and the future of the community.
