The staircases of the Escola Básica Integrada (EBI) and the Escola Básica e Secundária (EBS) of Penalva do Castelo have been transformed into learning spaces through the “Steps for Equality” initiative. The action seeks to raise awareness within the educational community about the importance of equality, respect for differences, and inclusion.
Promoted by the Team for Equality in Local Life, the initiative places inspiring phrases on each step, inviting reflection and the adoption of more conscious daily attitudes. Each step symbolizes a stride in building a school and society where everyone has equal opportunities.
