The Municipality of Carregal do Sal marks the Municipal Day for Equality and Non-Discrimination between October 23rd and 30th with the initiatives 'Steps of Inclusion, Canvases of Equality', which use art to promote respect for difference and combat prejudice.

Under the motto 'Steps of Inclusion, Canvases of Equality', the Municipality challenged the Private Institutions of Social Solidarity (IPSS) of the county to express, through art, their vision of a more just and inclusive society.
The result is a collection of canvases, created by the teams and users of the institutions, which will be on public display in the lobby of the Municipal Building. These works give visibility to the creativity and commitment of the institutions to the cause of equality and non-discrimination.
The initiative also extends to the Praça do Município, where a symbolic staircase will be temporarily installed. Its steps will feature messages aimed at questioning prejudices and deconstructing fixed ideas about societal differences.
This installation aims to raise awareness and remind us that building an inclusive society is an ongoing effort, through daily attitudes and choices.
With these proposals, the Municipality of Carregal do Sal reinforces the importance of community involvement in promoting human rights and equal opportunities, valuing the role of social institutions as agents of awareness and social transformation.
The community is invited to visit the exhibition in the lobby of the Municipal Building, see the installation in the Praça do Município, and share the message that equality is built with everyone's contribution.
