The past weekend was filled with various initiatives highlighting the dynamism and involvement of the Carregal do Sal community, bringing together moments of celebration, recognition, and social gathering. The Municipal Executive closely followed these events, reaffirming its commitment to valuing people and the work developed within the municipality.
On Friday, the program began with the initiative “Vá à Feira Pela Sua Saúde” (Go to the Fair for Your Health), which included traditional games and awareness actions for healthy lifestyle habits, in partnership with CLDS 5G of Carregal do Sal. On the same day, the new space of IAD Imobiliária Portugal, owned by independent real estate consultant Tânia Sá, was inaugurated, boosting the local business sector.
Saturday was dedicated to the Sports and Physical Activity Gala, which recognized the merit of athletes, clubs, and associations from the municipality, emphasizing the importance of sports practice for a more active and healthy community.
On Sunday morning, a new cycle path between Oliveirinha and Carregal do Sal was inaugurated, named after José Maria Dionísio Júnior, in tribute to the local cyclist. The infrastructure celebrates sustainable mobility and active lifestyles.
Sunday afternoon was marked by the celebrations of the 87th anniversary of the Volunteer Firefighters Humanitarian Association of Carregal do Sal. The ceremony was attended by the Secretary of State for Civil Protection, Rui Rocha, and included the inauguration of four new vehicles, as well as tributes to members of the corps.
The weekend concluded with a Night Walk and Astronomical Observation along the Caminho da Esperança cycle path, fostering social interaction, physical activity, and contact with nature, allowing participants to enjoy this leisure route.
