The Municipality of Sabrosa has been included in a list of 78 eligible municipalities for the Partnership Support Program – Art and Territorial Cohesion, promoted by the Directorate-General for the Arts (DGARTES), which provides one million euros for artistic and cultural projects.

The initiative aims to promote social and territorial cohesion, reduce disparities in access to culture, and encourage artistic creation, participation, and enjoyment, valuing local traditions and community identity. Applications are open until 5:59 PM on November 6, 2026.
Financial support ranges from 25,000 to 50,000 euros per application, with funding planned for at least 20 projects. Private legal entities, individuals, and informal groups with professional activity in the covered artistic fields can apply.
The program covers various artistic areas, including music, theater, dance, circus, visual arts, street arts, digital arts, interdisciplinary work, and traditional arts and crafts. Eligible projects include artistic creation, cultural programming, community mediation, and artistic training.
Particular emphasis is placed on projects that actively involve local communities, value material and immaterial heritage, and promote the intergenerational transmission of knowledge. The formation of partnerships and the creation of sustainable cultural dynamics are also important.
Projects should have a duration of 18 to 24 months, with execution planned between April 1, 2027, and March 30, 2029, including at least one in-person, public activity each year.
Applications must be submitted through the DGARTES electronic platform (https://apoios.dgartes.gov.pt). The Municipality of Sabrosa encourages interested entities to explore this opportunity and offers its support in preparing applications.
For more information, interested parties can consult the opening notice or contact DGARTES via email at candidaturas@dgartes.pt or by phone at 210 102 540.
