The CEISDTAD Library in Sabrosa hosted the 12th Meeting of the Douro Intermunicipal Library Network (RIBD) Working Group on October 2nd. The event brought together representatives from the municipal libraries that form this cooperative structure.
At the opening session, councilor António Araújo, representing the Municipal Executive of Sabrosa, welcomed the participants, highlighting the importance of network work as a space for sharing and defining common strategies.
António Araújo also presented the project for Sabrosa's new Municipal Library, integrated into the future Casa do Fadista Manassés – Municipal Library, Museum, and Cultural Center, underscoring the municipality's commitment to culture and access to information.
During the meeting, procedures from CIMDOURO regarding investments from the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) for libraries were discussed, focusing on the Catalog Aggregator and training actions promoted by CIMDOURO.
The agenda included the approval of the RIBD Intermunicipal Writing Competition Regulations, an initiative aimed at promoting reading and writing and community involvement.
The meeting also served as an important moment for sharing experiences and best practices, strengthening collaboration among municipal library professionals and the commitment to promoting reading and culture.
