The session, led by nurse Ricardo Amaro from the Community Care Unit (UCC), aimed to raise young people's awareness about the importance of mental health, encouraging the recognition and understanding of emotions, as well as identifying signs and symptoms associated with depression.
Throughout the session, topics such as recognizing and expressing emotions, their influence on individual well-being, and the need to be attentive to possible warning signs were discussed. The importance of seeking help from teachers, friends, family, or health professionals whenever necessary was reinforced.
The event also highlighted the importance of knowing the existing resources and community entities that provide mental health support, contributing to easier access to help and promoting timely intervention in situations of greater vulnerability.
This initiative provided an opportunity to strengthen awareness about mental health, valuing prevention, sharing, mutual support, and combating the stigma associated with emotional and psychological difficulties. Developed within the scope of Axis 2 – Action 12, the initiative reaffirms the commitment of CLDS 5G Murça-360º and partner entities to promoting well-being.
CLDS 5G Murça-360º is funded by PESSOAS 2030, under the Thematic Program Demography, Qualifications and Inclusion, integrated into Portugal 2030, and co-financed by the European Union.
