Approximately 2300 students from the three school clusters in Chaves participated yesterday in the first Inter-Agrupamentos School Cross-Country, promoted by the Municipality to encourage physical activity and sports values.

The event, unprecedented in the municipality, had the main objective of promoting the regular practice of physical activity, encouraging healthy lifestyle habits, and fostering values such as participation, inclusion, respect for others, and fair play.
The initiative, promoted by the Municipality in coordination with the School Clusters Dr. António Granjo, Dr. Júlio Martins, and Fernão de Magalhães, allowed for the first time the cross-country races to be brought together in a single municipal event, as an alternative to holding separate races by each educational establishment.
This option allowed for the educational communities to gather for a moment of conviviality and sharing, providing students with a joint sporting experience and promoting a more efficient use of the technical, material, and logistical resources necessary for the activity.
