The Single Property Office (BUPi) remains active in the Chaves municipality, with the City Council ensuring assistance and technical support for owners wishing to identify and legalize their properties.
The period of free services associated with the BUPi program ended on September 30th. Consequently, some property registrations that previously benefited from cost exemptions will now be subject to applicable legal fees. This change is due to the conclusion of the program's free service scheme, not a municipal decision.
The Chaves City Council will continue to provide technical support to owners throughout the process, including defining property boundaries and gathering necessary information. The procedural adjustments follow modifications introduced by new legislation to the BUPi's operational framework.
Public service will resume tomorrow, October 2nd, maintaining the usual hours and appointment system. Through BUPi, owners can graphically represent their rural and mixed properties, identifying their boundaries and linking them to their owners.
This process aims for a more accurate understanding of the territory and more efficient property management, while also helping to safeguard family heritage passed down through generations. The Municipality of Chaves reaffirms its commitment to providing information and technical support to owners in this regard.
