The Municipality of Boticas signed a financial support protocol worth 50 thousand euros annually with the Alturas Social Association, based in Alturas do Barros, to ensure the institution's sustainability and the well-being of its 10 elderly residents.

The Municipality of Boticas formalized, last Wednesday, October 7, a protocol for the allocation of financial support with the Alturas Social Association. The agreement provides for an annual funding of 50 thousand euros, for a period of four years, aimed at supporting the sustainability of the IPSS located in the village of Alturas do Barros.
This protocol establishes a collaboration plan focused on meeting the institution's needs, contributing to the facility's operation and ensuring a coordinated provision of care to the elderly residents in the Residential Structure for Elderly People (ERPI).
The signing was carried out by the President of the Municipality of Boticas, Guilherme Pires, and by the President of the Board of the Alturas Social Association, Paulo Rua Pereira. The support aims to maintain the institution's continuous operation, ensure the legally required human resources, and provide essential goods such as accommodation, food, hygiene care, comfort, health, and animation activities.
This social response is considered an asset to the parish and the municipality, promoting population retention, social dynamism, and closer, more humanized care for the elderly, ensuring comfort, safety, and specialized support.
The partnership reinforces the commitment of the Municipality of Boticas to projects that contribute to social cohesion, intergenerational solidarity, and the improvement of citizens' quality of life, recognizing the importance of the work developed by the Alturas Social Association.
