The Municipality of Ílhavo is accepting nominations for its first Education and Sports Gala until October 20. This initiative aims to distinguish individuals and organizations that have excelled during the 2025/2026 academic year and sports season.
The gala seeks to recognize the merit, talent, and dedication of athletes, teams, clubs, associations, leaders, coaches, education professionals, students, and other key figures contributing to these fields within the municipality.
In Education, awards include Academic Merit, Student of the Year, Young Talent, Educational Project of the Year, and a Career/Homage Award. For Sports, accolades will be given for Leader of the Year, Coach of the Year, Team of the Year, Adapted Sports Athlete, Young Revelation, Male and Female Athlete of the Year, School Sports, and a Special Jury Distinction, alongside awards for Sporting Merit and Sporting Recognition and Participation.
Interested parties can submit their nominations until October 20. Application forms and the full regulations are available on the official event page on the Municipality of Ílhavo's website.
The awards ceremony is scheduled for November 25, at 6:30 PM, at the Casa da Cultura de Ílhavo. The event aims to celebrate achievements and inspire the community, particularly children and young people.
