Municipality of Boticas distinguished at the IV Social City Congress

The Municipality of Boticas was awarded six distinctions at the IV Social City Congress, held on October 1st and 2nd in Lagoa and Portimão, recognizing its work in various areas.

The event, which gathered around 400 participants from across the country, awarded municipal excellence. The Boticas municipality stood out with four “Municipal Excellence Awards” in the categories of Social Action, for the project “Cartão Social”; in Education, with “PIPSE – Intermunicipal Programs for the Promotion of School Success”; in Youth, with the program “Boticas Mexe”; and in Sports, with the “Torneio Concelhio de Futsal”.
Additionally, under the Quality Recognitions, the programs “Campo de Férias 2026” (Holiday Camp 2026), including Spring and Summer Workshops, and the “Senior Physical Activity Program”, with the project “Dar Vida aos Anos Envelhecendo” (Giving Life to the Years of Aging), were distinguished.
The ceremony was attended by the Vice-President of the Câmara Municipal de Boticas, Isabel Torres. These awards aim to recognize and promote good practices among Portuguese municipalities, valuing Boticas' continuous effort in implementing sustainable and innovative projects.
The achieved recognition also highlights the work developed by the municipal teams and partners, who have been consolidating proximity-based responses aimed at the community.
