The initiative, supported by the Boticas Delegation of the Portuguese Red Cross, the Celtiberus Association, and the Volunteer Firefighters of Boticas, aimed to alert the community to the importance of early detection of the disease.
With a six-kilometer route, the walk started at the Praça do Município and attracted participants of various ages, fostering an atmosphere of conviviality and solidarity.
The Mayor of Boticas, Guilherme Pires, joined the event, accompanied by the municipal executive, reinforcing the council's commitment to this cause.
The event concluded with a social gathering for all participants. Although registration was free, participants were given the option to make a voluntary donation to the Borboletas aos Montes Association.
